I have extensive experience with the Adobe creative suite. While I prefer design and layout I’ve worked with many media formats:
I’ve made many short documentaries that have won awards locally and nationally. Creating these have honed my skills as a researcher, interviewer, and creative storyteller as well as a designer of movies and sound.
I was introduced to HTML 12 years ago and have been creating websites ever since (including my personal website.) Over the years I have added CSS and some php and database knowledge to my toolbox. I’ve also worked a bit with Flash on my own and in some of my college courses.
I began to seriously dive into photography in college. I love working with black & white film as well as with digital cameras. I’ve invested in high quality Nikon cameras and continue to work with lighting and design to compose wonderful images. Some of my images were published in Portland Magazine while I was an intern there in the Summer of 2008. One of my photos was in consideration for the cover of the September 2008 issue.
Overall I use my knowledge of different forms of art and media to assist in the creation of my layout and graphic design. I believe this allows me to create a 360 degree approach to my design and infuse elements one may not expect.
